Meet Journey
Journey is mix breed horse who came to Noah’s Ark in 2003 around three years of age. He was confiscated from a junkyard in Atlanta and suffered extreme cruelty and neglect in his three short years of life. He arrived to us a walking skeleton, and his survival was touch and go for many days as we waited to see if he suffered any permanent damage from prolonged starvation. He is an entirely different horse today, and is absolutely beautiful. Through positive reinforcement training, patience, and a lot of time, he has overcome his fear of humans, although he prefers to interact with his fellow horses rather than his caregivers (until he smells treats in their pockets).
