Meet Macho

Macho is the largest llama at Noah’s Ark, and his attitude and size are exactly why he came to our sanctuary in the first place!  His former owner heard that llamas make great guardians of any livestock herd, so he purchased Macho to keep his small goat herd safe from coyotes.  Macho was so dedicated to his job however, that he wouldn’t let the farmer near “his” goats!  Since arriving at the sanctuary and being castrated, Macho has calmed down a lot – perhaps he realized there are just too many goats for him to guard!
