Meet Simon
Simon the ball python was brought to Noah’s Ark all the way from Michigan after authorities discovered him and two other snakes abandoned in a basement. Ball pythons are probably the most popular pet snakes, and for good reason: when they become frightened, they “ball” up and cover their heads, instead of striking out. As an adult they reach a very manageable size of 3-4 feet and once on an established care routine, make for hardy, gentle, fairly low-maintenance pets. Despite what he’s been through, Simon is our go-to-guy for educational or hands-on demonstrations because of his easy-going nature. These snakes have a lifespan of roughly 20-25 years so hopefully Simon will be with us for a long time!
