Meet Skunk
Skunk is a bison/domestic cow hybrid, often called a beefalo. To our surprise, male bison remain fertile for a short period even after being castrated and because the bison live communally with the other livestock, little Skunk came into our world one early spring day. Skunk retains characteristics of both of her parents, although acts more like a bison than a cow and much prefers the company of her fellow pasture mates than interacting with humans. In captivity, beefalo are quite popular as a meat source, but Skunk will never face the threat of slaughter and will live out her days free at Noah’s Ark.
