Meet Miles
Miles was born in 2011 and brought to Noah’s Ark in 2012. Because they are such adorable, interesting little animals, lemurs are popular exotic pets in the few states where they are still legal to own. One thing many people do not know about lemurs is the dedication they all have to scent marking their territory, and not just with urine, but with feces as well. When Miles began displaying such behaviors as he matured, it was all too much for his former owner to handle. That, with the added stress of keeping an illegal animal, led him to voluntarily surrender Miles to Noah’s Ark. Today Miles lives with other lemurs and is very bonded to them. His favorite treat is peanut butter.
