Meet Tanger
Tanger the Sulcata tortoise was found walking outside the Tanger Outlet Malls and was brought to Noah’s Ark. Sulcata, or African spurred tortoises, are the most common pet tortoise sold in the pet trade, despite the fact they reach adult weights of 150+ pounds and can live for more than a century. Tanger is a very lucky fellow that he was spotted and brought to the sanctuary or he probably would have perished in our cold Georgia winter.
