Girl Scout badge workshops:
Scouts will be given an activity sheet, play an animal observation game and be assigned an animal in our sanctuary to observe. All participants will also get a private guided tour and a souvenir feed cup. The scouts will be able to feed our barnyard animals!
Scouts will get a guided tour highlighting how keepers make decisions on creating naturalistic home for our rescued wildlife. We will discuss endangered species and their natural habitats. The program will include creating an animal house. All participants will also get a souvenir feed cup. The scouts will be able to feed our barnyard animals! *** Please inquire on how this program can also be catered for a Bronze award.
During a guided tour, scouts will discuss how the views of animals over the centuries have changed and the role of animal sanctuaries. The scouts will have an opportunity to create an enrichment item for a preselected group of animals. They will be able to observe an assigned animal and offer it an enrichment item and log changes in the animals behaviors and reactions to the item. All participants will also get a souvenir feed cup. The scouts will be able to feed a special group of our sanctuary residents!
Cost- $400/troop. Max. 10 girl scouts. Each additional scout is $30.
