Meet Pedro
A lady browsing through her local flea market bought Pedro to save him from slaughter, as he was being sold as a meat pig. She took Pedro into her home at a young age and showered him with love and affection, but noticed he was getting very large, very fast. The lady knew nothing about pigs, or that pigs used for meat get much larger than traditional pet pot bellied pigs. A few months later Pedro was too large to live indoors and so his loving owner placed him in our care at Noah’s Ark. Today, Pedro has formed strong bonds with the other pigs at the sanctuary, but he still enjoys belly scratches from any human who will give them out.
